Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Legal Senior Manager with a minimum of 6+ years of legal experience. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing expert legal counsel on corporate, commercial, and operational matters. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can work cross functionally with various teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Advisory & Compliance: Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters. Ensure the company adheres to local, national, and international laws.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documents to minimize risk and protect the company's interests.
  • Regulatory & Risk Management: Identify legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them. Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Corporate Governance: Support board and executive management with legal oversight on corporate governance matters, policies, and procedures.
  • Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Manage legal disputes, liaise with external counsel, and represent the company in negotiations, arbitration, and litigation if necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business units, government authorities, and external counsel to address legal concerns and align with business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and provide guidance to junior legal staff, fostering a high performing legal team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
  • 6+ years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm, with expertise in corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong understanding of local and international regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Experience in handling contract negotiations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, influence decision making, and provide strategic legal solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience leading legal teams or mentoring junior legal professionals is a plus.
