Senior Lift Technician – Abu Dhabi Portfolio
Role Summary:
Execute high-precision maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work across all lifts in the Abu Dhabi property portfolio. Serve as the on-ground technical authority, ensuring reliability, safety, and zero-downtime performance. This role demands accuracy, accountability, and strong field execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Maintenance & Repairs:
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on hydraulic and traction elevators.
  • Diagnose faults in control panels, drives, door operators, and safety circuits with high accuracy.
  • Execute component replacements (valves, coils, sensors, ropes, drives) without shortcuts or delays.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards (Schindler, OTIS, KONE, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Field Troubleshooting:
  • Respond to breakdowns, entrapments, and emergency calls with speed and structured problem-solving.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes—not temporary patches.
  • Escalate high-risk issues early and provide clear technical justification.
Compliance & Documentation:
  • Work in full alignment with Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, ADMCC, and local safety requirements.
  • Prepare lift units for inspections and audits with zero compliance gaps.
  • Maintain detailed service reports, diagnostics logs, and parts usage records.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect and verify contractor work to ensure proper installation, calibration, and fault elimination.
  • Validate materials used and reject any substandard components.
  • Protect building interiors and finishes during technical work—zero tolerance for damage.
Asset Reliability:
  • Monitor and improve uptime, MTTR, and breakdown frequency.
  • Flag recurring issues and recommend modernization or component upgrades when required.
  • Identify risks proactively before they escalate into operational failures.

Stakeholder Interface:
  • Coordinate with property managers, security teams, and maintenance teams on-site.
  • Provide clear status updates, fault reports, and repair timelines.
  • Support other technicians with guidance and technical direction when needed.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years hands-on lift technician experience (UAE experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong background in both hydraulic and traction systems.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, load test reports, and control logic.
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi regulatory bodies and inspection processes.

Core Competencies:
  • High technical accuracy and fault-isolation capability.
  • Strong discipline, safety mindset, and zero-error execution.
  • Ability to manage pressure situations and make fast, correct decisions.
  • Strong communication and reporting clarity.
  • Ownership mentality—no dependencies, no excuses.

Work Conditions:
  • Field-based across Abu Dhabi properties.
  • On-call for emergency breakdowns.
  • Physical work involving mechanical, electrical, and height-related tasks.
