Build customer pipeline - Seeks and prospects for high value target accounts to win new customers
Work on Customer Relationship - Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer's business and the market
Assess the type and size of customer needs and recommends solutions based on these needs by using industry knowledge
Support customer retention by conducting joints visits and organizing workshops inviting customers to share information on updated regulations, products, etc.
Ensure successful retention of customers by maintaining close liaison with them, ascertaining their satisfaction level via DHL Global Forwarding service standards and to anticipate and/or prevent potential problems.
Use networks within the various Sales channels within DHL to collaborate on customers, marketing strategies and offers a full supply chain of services to service customer needs.
Collect relevant customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ and prepare documents for customer implementation to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations (SLA's & SOP's).
Co-ordinate with all stakeholders as well as with different business units to deliver quality service to customers
Identify and develop customer sales leads
Build, develop and maintain the sales pipeline
Conduct customer meetings, sales visits and present company capabilities
Establish and present customized offers to customers
Negotiate with customers on contractual terms of service provision that is aligned to product and corporate policy and procedures
Responsible for achieving budgeted growth in new/additional business and customer sales targets
Perform any other duties assigned by immediate superior
YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experienced in Account Management of Freight Forwarding or related international transportation services customers - managing SLA with SOP monthly performance reviews with customers
Proven track record in developing and growing business with assigned portfolio of customers through RFQ customised solutions selling
Good understanding of sector trends in the freight forwarding industry
Able to identify customer needs by gathering information and building long-term relationships through value creation
Well developed communication and presentation skills
Degree with more than 8 years of relevant working experience in a MNC environment
