Want to build manufacturing processes for products used in life-saving medical procedures?

Who We Are:

We manufacture complex, life-improving medical technologies - from robotic surgery instruments to devices that help people live longer, healthier lives.

At our Plainview, NY site, you’ll join a tight, experienced team that actually builds the parts, tooling, and processes behind those innovations. If you like being close to the floor, solving real production problems, and mentoring the next generation of engineers- this is that role.

Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer (roughly 5–10+ years’ experience) who can own manufacturing processes from concept through stabilization. This isn’t a “sit-behind-CAD-all-day” role - we need someone who’s hands-on with CNC/precision machining environments, comfortable talking with operators, and able to drive CI, quality, and throughput across the plant.

You will evaluate current processes, introduce new equipment, lead or support cost estimating, and help standardize how we manufacture across products. You’ll also play a big part in mentoring junior engineers - a key gap we’re trying to fill.

What You Will Do:

  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes around quality, speed, and efficiency
  • Create, test, and implement new manufacturing processes (manual and automated)
  • Study production and machine requirements and recommend changes
  • Design, specify, and help install new equipment, tooling, and fixtures
  • Lead or assist in cost estimating for new and existing projects
  • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, and machine operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and delays
  • Drive continuous improvement/lean initiatives to reduce cost and scrap
  • Train production staff and develop/mentor junior engineers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years in manufacturing engineering or a closely related role (medical device, precision machining, or high-tolerance manufacturing strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design
  • Comfortable in a CNC machining environment
