Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Management & Material Ordering

  • Plan, order, and follow up on raw materials and components to ensure uninterrupted production supply.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support delivery reliability, cost control, and quality performance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply or quality issues that may impact production.
  • Coordinate new supplier setups and manage ongoing communications regarding delivery schedules, packaging requirements, and logistics.
  • Review and analyze material requirements planning (MRP) reports to maintain optimal inventory levels.

2. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain a master production schedule aligned with customer demand, inventory targets, and plant capacity.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to ensure accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Adjust production plans proactively based on material availability, equipment downtime, or customer order changes.

3. Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Ensure accurate inventory records through cycle counting and reconciliation.
  • Oversee warehouse operations to ensure proper storage, FIFO, and safety compliance.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and material flow for efficiency.

4. Material Handling

  • Supervise and coordinate material handlers to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines.
  • Establish and enforce material flow procedures to reduce waste and handling time.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, and ergonomic standards.

5. Shipping & Customer Delivery

  • Plan and coordinate outbound shipments according to customer schedules and logistics requirements.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including packing lists, labels, and export paperwork.
  • Track delivery performance and resolve any customer logistics issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with carriers and logistics partners to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.

6. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Analyze logistics performance data to identify cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement projects such as lean initiatives or supply chain optimization.
  • Track and report KPIs, including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and logistics cost.

Qualifications / Experience:

Experience:

· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MP&L, supply chain, or logistics in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).

· Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, QAD, Plex, Oracle, etc.).

· Proven track record of managing suppliers and coordinating end-to-end logistics processes.

Skills:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization techniques.
