Clarity Online SEO, a digital marketing agency based in Seattle, WA, is looking for an experienced Senior PPC Manager to join our team. This is a remote position with a flexible schedule. Initially we’re offering a 3-month contract, with the plan to transition to full-time employment at the end of the contract period. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
This is a client-facing role in an agency. You’ll be managing campaigns across Google, Bing, and Meta for various clients. Some clients require daily optimizations, while others are a few times a year. We work with clients in various industries including home & construction services, ecommerce, professional services, retail & consumer services, health & wellness, and financial services.
In this role you’ll be responsible for owning Paid Search, from strategy to execution. You will have flexibility to work independently, with opportunities to collaborate internally and externally to expand your skill set. Being a results-driven agency, we are looking for someone experienced with modern PPC strategies and delivering results. We’re looking for someone who’s willing to take initiative and implement fresh strategies, AI tools, workflows, etc. while still being willing to roll up their sleeves and do the tedious parts of PPC when required. In this role you’ll be able to see the direct impact that your ideas have, while learning and growing alongside a passionate team.
Responsibilities
- Create Strategies - Develop strategies for each client that include long-term planning and changes. Depending on the client and resources available, this could be a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month strategy. Depending on the same variables, plan to work on the account daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.
- Collaborate Internally - Work closely with the account manager, and as needed with other team members (web developer, designer, writer, etc.). Communicate via Teamwork (project management tool), Discord, Google Meet, and email. Proactively reach out as needed and communicate on performance, issues, and opportunities.
- Create and Optimize Campaigns - Design, launch, and continuously refine PPC campaigns for primarily Google Ads, but also Bing and Meta. Ensure alignment with client’s marketing goals and audience targeting. Adjust campaigns as needed to maximize performance, including bid strategies, keywords, negative keywords, targeting, ad copy, landing pages, audiences, etc..
- Manage Bidding Strategies - Develop and implement effective bidding strategies to achieve the desired KPIs (CPC, CPA, ROAS, etc.). Conduct experiments when applicable to test different strategies. Adjust strategies over time (Ex. new campaigns vs seasoned).
- Keyword Research & Campaign Architecture - Use tools like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Keyword Planner, etc. to choose target keywords. Create Ad Groups and Campaigns based on site architecture, landing pages, themes, and client goals. Create and continuously refine negative keyword lists. Made decisions on match types based on performance, budget, intent, and data.
- Create & Optimize Ad Copy - Create ad copy based on keywords, website copy, competitors, intent, and audience targeting. Test ad copy variations, pinned headlines and descriptions, and other assets to improve performance.
- Create & Optimize Landing Pages - Collaborate with internal and external teams to optimize landing pages for conversions. Be comfortable creating or adjusting landing pages in Wordpress as needed. Developer support is available for more complex layouts and projects.
- Monitor & Report on Performance - Track and analyze KPIs like conversions, CPA, CTR, etc.. Use tools like Looker Studio and Google Analytics to create client-facing reports. Use insights to continuously adjust campaigns and strategy.
- Manage Budgets - Allocate monthly budgets to accounts based on business goals, KPIs, and strategy. Monitor performance to ensure spend is aligned with target budgets. Create systems for monitoring spend, with alerts and plans for over/underspend.
- A/B Testing - Create and manage A/B tests within the Google Ads platform to test campaign strategy, bid algorithms, copy, landing pages, etc..
- Ad Tech & Tracking - Be able to implement, or coordinate with developers to implement, tracking codes, events, pixels, etc. in Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Bing, Meta, and other 3rd party CRMs and platforms.
- Create & Manage Audiences - Create and manage audiences on various platforms. Utilize 1st party data when possible to improve campaign performance.
- Creating Systems & Processes -Develop and document systems and processes that you’ll use in this role. Examples include onboarding, campaign optimizations, keyword research, keyword grouping, budget tracking, allocating spend increases, conversion forecasting, and conversion tracking setup.
- Meet With Clients - This is a client-facing role. You will be expected to meet with clients, either individually or as part of a team, to communicate PPC performance. You’ll be expected to understand each client’s unique business challenges, create strategies to solve them, receive feedback and implement changes accordingly.
Requirements

- 5+ years of digital marketing experience in a B2C or Agency environment
- 5+ years experience in Google Ads
- 3+ years experience in Bing Ads
- 3+ years experience in Meta Ads
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a very fast-paced environment
- Previous experience talking to clients or stakeholders about performance, challenges, results
- Previous experience in lead-generation
- Previous experience in ecommerce
Position Details
- Employment Type: Contract to hire. The initial contract period is 3 months, with the plan to transition to full-time employment based on performance and fit.
- Contract Period: During the first 3 months, the role is full-time at 40 hours per week.
- Start Date: Between 12/15/25 - 1/5/26.
- Pay: $32-43 per hour, depending on experience.
- Getting Paid: You will send an invoice each week with hours worked. Pay will be direct-deposit into your bank account via Gusto (HR software) within 3 business days.
- Remote Position & Schedule: Fully remote. Typical working hours are in the 9am-5pm range in whichever US time zone you live in, though flexible schedules can be accommodated. Must be available for client and internal meetings, which are typically 9am-5pm PT.
- Work Structure: Work independently in managing projects and deadlines. Collaborate internally with the team on a daily basis. Meet with clients as needed.
- Onboarding: In Month 1, you will meet the team, learn the company processes, tools, account setup, shadow a few big accounts, and be responsible for a few smaller accounts. Expect a semi-structured schedule with 1x1 meetings to cover key topics, with ample flex-time to learn and explore on your own. By Month 2, you will own several accounts and be shadowing on the remaining. At the start of Month 3, you will have a full account load and own all of the responsibilities of the role.
- Time Tracking: All time worked must be tracked in Teamwork (project management tool). At least 80% of time worked should be billable (on clients), while up to 20% can be non-billable (internal meetings, organization, skill development, etc.). This requirement is waived for the first 4 weeks of onboarding.
- Performance Evaluation: Regular performance reviews during the contract period, with an annual review following transition to full-time employment.
- Salary and Benefits: (Upon Full-Time Employment): Salary range $70,000 - 85,000 per year, depending on experience. Health insurance, retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, paid holidays, and bonus. Note: These benefits apply upon conversion to a full-time position and are not available during the contract period.
