In a job-shop environment, our clients require us to deliver quality parts on time from all of our metal finishing operations. We are looking for a Production Analyst to add to our growing team.

Position Summary

The Production Analyst is responsible for coordinating and monitoring workflow throughout the production process, ensuring on-time delivery of parts, samples, and finished goods. This role tracks the status of orders, expedites materials, manages first articles and sample parts, supports scheduling, and assists with shipping and receiving activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to keep multiple moving parts aligned to support production efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track work orders, production schedules, and job status to ensure timely movement through each stage of the process.
  • Expedite materials, tooling, and parts as needed to prevent delays and meet customer deadlines.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Scheduling, and Customer Service teams to communicate status updates and resolve issues.
  • Assist in developing and adjusting production schedules based on capacity, priorities, and customer requirements.
  • Support shipping and receiving by coordinating inbound materials and outbound orders, verifying paperwork, and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Maintain accurate tracking tools, logs, and reports related to work-in-progress, priority jobs, and shipment status.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and collaborate with internal departments to drive solutions.
  • Act as the central point of communication for production status, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to increase production efficiency and visibility.
  • Act as a back-up Production Supervisor if one of our Production Supervisors is out.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production control, expediting, logistics, or a related role required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; able to manage high volume of moving parts.
  • Knowledge of production workflows, scheduling, or ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to follow through and drive tasks to completion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
