Evergreen Construction, a commercial interiors general contractor based in Midtown Manhattan, is expanding our leadership team. We specialize in high-end corporate and retail interior construction projects throughout New York City and are known for delivering exceptional quality, strong client service, and efficient project execution.We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple commercial interior construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This is a high-impact leadership role for a driven construction professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at client communication, and has extensive experience managing complex NYC interior fit-outs.You will work closely with ownership, field teams, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and some of New York City’s most prominent landlords and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial interior construction projects simultaneously from inception through final closeout
- Oversee budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and project execution
- Coordinate project teams including architects, engineers, subcontractors, consultants, landlords, and client representatives
- Lead client meetings and maintain strong relationships through clear communication and proactive problem-solving
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and submittals to ensure project accuracy and compliance
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
- Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and reporting through Procore
- Monitor project performance to ensure schedule adherence, quality control, and budget management
- Collaborate closely with field superintendents and internal teams to ensure efficient project delivery
- Identify and resolve construction, coordination, and MEP-related challenges proactively
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of project management experience in commercial interior construction
- Strong experience managing corporate interiors and/or high-end retail projects in NYC
- Extensive knowledge of MEP systems and coordination
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and client-facing skills
- Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management software
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- PMP or other Project Management certification is a plus
- Strong understanding of NYC construction processes, permitting, and landlord coordination
