Position: Senior Project Officer

The Foundation is currently seeking a motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and strong written and oral communication skills to fill the position of Senior Project Officer.


The Senior Project Officer will support the Projects Department Team in coordinating, implementing, and monitoring projects under Al Jisr Foundation’s focus areas in Health, Education, and Economic Empowerment. The role requires strong organizational and follow-up skills to ensure smooth execution, accurate documentation, and timely reporting. The Senior Project Officer will work closely with internal teams and partners to maintain efficient communication and contribute to effective project delivery.


Key Responsibilities


Project Planning & Management

• Support in generating project ideas and developing initial concepts.

• Assist in preparing project plans, timelines, and budgets.

• Coordinate activities with the Head and follow up to keep deliverables on schedule.

• Engage with partners and beneficiaries to support effective implementation.

• Contribute to needs assessments and feasibility inputs for new initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.


Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Compile project data for monitoring and evaluation.

• Track performance indicators under the Head’s guidance.

• Draft monthly and quarterly progress reports and success stories.

• Flag implementation issues and suggest practical solutions.


Stakeholder Coordination

• Follow up with partner organizations, government entities, and NGOs.

• Support in organizing meetings, workshops, and field visits.

• Prepare minutes, correspondence, and coordination notes.


Financial & Administrative Oversight

• Assist in preparing project budgets and financial requests.

• Coordinate with Finance and Procurement to process payments and maintain records.

• Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.


Innovation & Knowledge Development

• Document lessons learned, success stories, and field observations.

• Assist in preparing donor updates, presentations, and partnership briefs.

• Contribute ideas to improve project design and operational efficiency.


Qualifications & Requirements

o Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, International Relations, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.

o Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in project coordination or implementation, preferably in the non-profit or development sector.

o Strong organizational, follow-up, and multitasking skills.

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English. (Arabic is a must)

o Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively under supervision.

o High attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to deadlines.


Supervision

This position operates under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Charity Initiatives & Projects and contributes to the overall success of the department’s programs.
