Assist the projects team by providing support in commercial activities by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for the Fit out operations.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform the commercial activities (viz. contractual documentation and writing)
- Preparation and tracking of variation submittals
- Preparation of progress billing and follow up on collections
- Check Bill of quantities (BOQs) against the drawings to raise claims and assist the Project manager (PM) with cost monitoring and controlling
- Prepare work orders and recommendations for subcontract and material orders ensuring that costs are within project budget
- Ensure compliance with the commercial framework
- Capability to carry out QS function BOQ preparation management and measurement activities etc
- Evaluate all contractual correspondence between clients and Project Manager to recommend suitable response
- Ensure that any delays in project work are properly accounted for and documented in order to avoid possible liability to the company
- Negotiate extensions of timelines and deadlines whether against or with main contractor.
- Verify that the final contract is congruent with the original letter of intent
- Advise project manager on how to respond to contractual claims delays etc
- Submit evaluation of monthly progress invoice for the project site.
- Follow up any delays in the work of other contactors on the project site and the resulting consequences to the company
- Timely submission and agreement of project final account to client
- Timely close out of subcontractor final accounts and reversal of duplicate orders on epicor
- Prepare and project cost report each month and present to senior management for review
- Coordinate and liaise with the Estimation and Purchasing Departments as well as other contractors on the project site in all matters relating to the project finances expenditures delays and required materials etc
- Ensure compliance with Havelock code of conduct at all times
