Senior Satellite Ground Station Engineer

Department: Space Systems / Ground Operations Reports To: Head of Satellite OperationsAbout the Role:We’re looking for an experienced Senior Satellite Ground Station Engineer with strong RF and telemetry expertise to design, maintain, and optimize ground station systems for satellite communication and control. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of RF subsystems, antenna systems, modems, and satellite link analysis, with a proven ability to ensure seamless ground-to-space connectivity.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain satellite ground station hardware and RF systems.Configure and troubleshoot RF chains, antennas, LNA/LNB systems, transmitters, and modems.Manage satellite telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) operations.Conduct link budget calculations and optimize communication performance.Integrate and test new ground station technologies and automation systems.Support mission operations, anomaly resolution, and system upgrades.Coordinate with satellite operations and network teams to ensure reliable mission support.Document procedures, create system diagrams, and support compliance with communication standards (ITU, FCC, ISRO, etc.).Required Skills & Expertise:Strong hands-on knowledge of RF engineering, antenna systems, and satellite communication principles.Proficiency with ground station control software and signal-processing tools (Spectrum Analyzer, SDRs, MATLAB, GNURadio, etc.).Experience with TT&C systems, uplink/downlink operations, and ground network integration.Familiarity with modulation/demodulation, frequency planning, and link margin analysis.Working knowledge of Linux environments, network protocols, and system automation scripts.Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Telecommunications, Avionics, or Aerospace Engineering.5+ years of experience in satellite ground systems or RF engineering.Experience with LEO/MEO/GEO ground station operations or satellite mission control centers.Certifications in RF systems, satellite communication, or network engineering are a plus.Why Join Us:Be part of a mission-driven team building next-generation satellite ground infrastructure.Work with cutting-edge RF and communication technologies.Competitive compensation and exciting opportunities in the space technology domain.
