Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design of ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise business needs and technical standards.
• Develop comprehensive system architecture plans incorporating best practices for service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and cloud integrations such as AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, developers, security specialists, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable architectures.
• Oversee the integration of ServiceNow with other enterprise systems using RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other web services protocols.
• Establish governance frameworks for solution architecture ensuring compliance with information security standards like RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and firewall configurations.
• Drive automation initiatives utilizing scripting languages such as Python, Bash shell scripting, JavaScript, and PowerShell to optimize workflows within ServiceNow and related platforms.
• Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker/Kubernetes for continuous deployment of solutions.
• Provide expert guidance on system administration tasks across operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization (VMware), containerization (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Conduct system design reviews to ensure performance optimization through load balancing, caching strategies, NoSQL databases like Cassandra or DynamoDB, and SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Maintain documentation of system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and operational procedures for ongoing support and future enhancements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior System Architect specializing in ServiceNow platform development and enterprise IT solutions.
• Deep understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architecture, system design principles, and system integration techniques.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including computer networking (VPNs, DNS/DHCP), firewalls, load balancing solutions, and security protocols like RBAC.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure along with virtualization technologies like VMware.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including JavaScript, Python, Bash shell scripting for automation tasks within complex environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git repositories, Docker/Kubernetes for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Expertise in database management systems including Oracle, SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), MySQL, PostgreSQL; knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Strong understanding of operating systems including Windows and Linux/Unix environments; experience with system administration is essential.
• Knowledge of network security practices including firewalls, VPNs, DNS management; experience implementing information security policies is preferred.
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies to deliver iterative solutions efficiently.
