Join the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) team, where you'll contribute to groundbreaking innovations! We are seeking applicants for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Strategic Military Space Division.
The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Our division is a key component of national security, providing technological solutions and expert mission support. Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and continually improves regression and acceptance tests including automated tests
- Tests, investigates, and manages defects and discrepancies for software with and without a UI
- Provides test leadership as part of the software development teams
- Continually evaluates and helps refine internal and external customer requirements
- Develops test strategies to meet the release schedule for multiple programs
- Assists in directing student employees in the test and independent validation and verification process
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Develops new test methodologies for emerging technologies
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
- BS degree in a technical field with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a MS degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
- Considered an expert in the field of software testing and configuration management processes
- Demonstrated broad knowledge, understanding, and perspective in software test application and test items
- Ability to relate well to people at all levels inside and outside of the organization
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with team members
- Skill with one or more of the following: C++, C#, Selenium, CSS, Node.js, Confluence, Jira, Zephyr, BitBucket, VMware/VirtualBox, Jenkins, Visual Studio, SQL, Git
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an Agile software development environment
- Experience implementing software test in a CI/CD software development environment
- Active TS security clearance

$141,000 - $185,000
- Salary commensurate based on education and experience
