Position SummarY:
Radiology Partners is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to tackle complex software and hardware challenges pertaining to the performance, reliability, and maintainability of the clinical system. This position, guided by architects and senior engineers, will develop, and implement solutions to improve end-to-end radiology workflows. This role will work in all aspects of the system including software, hardware, and peripheral devices.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of system hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Identify inefficiencies and develop solutions to help improve end-to-end workflows
  • Develop tools to facilitate proactive monitoring and management of the environment
  • Manage hardware, operating system, and application patches and hotfixes
  • Plan, monitor, and manage data migrations (HL7, DICOM, etc.)
  • Model solutions targeted to meet existing and new business goals
  • Provide senior technical leadership representing hardware, operating system and software configurations in a cross-functional team
  • Author and provide input for multiple systems and services, system documentation, procedures, and processes
  • Lead and provide guidance for advanced technical support
  • Recommend and validate new hardware and peripheral devices
  • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure
  • Ensure that all systems, applications, and related procedures adhere to organizational guidelines
  • Assist the security team as necessary to maintain corporate security and network resiliency
  • Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports
  • Manage and provide guidance to junior members of the team
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships to resolve issues and develop solutions
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or 10+ years equivalent work experience •
  • 10+ years of experience working in healthcare IT (primarily Enterprise Imaging)
  • 10+ years of experience in radiology centric applications like PACS, EMRs, VNAs, Voice Recognition systems and their interoperability standards; including implementation and support of the applications
  • 10+ years working with development languages including VB, Java, Python, Bash, Perl, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience working with several cloud providers like MS Azure, AWS or GCP and the managed services provided by them
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud-based deployment technologies
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the roles and workflows within an Imaging organization
  • Deep understanding and experience working with DICOM and HL7 protocols
  • Experience with radiology workstations (multiple monitors, Microsoft Windows, dictation mics, etc.)
  • Experience with network infrastructure (load balancing, TCP/IP, HTTP, gRPC, DNS), databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), cloud and data center operations and their respective security protocols
  • Experience with cloud provided storage solutions and the data migration strategies
  • Experience working with virtual environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM • Deep, hands-on technical expertise with Windows, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $105,000-$125,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
