Position Title: Video & VFX Editor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Video & VFX Editor to join our post-production team. This role combines the creative aspects of video editing with the technical expertise of visual effects (VFX) integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling raw footage, enhancing visual storytelling through editing, and applying VFX techniques to achieve high-end, polished outputs across film, advertising, social media, or branded content projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw footage into engaging and coherent video content using professional editing software.
• Integrate VFX elements such as compositing, motion tracking, chroma keying, and rotoscoping.
• Apply transitions, music, dialogue, graphics, sound effects, and visual enhancements to meet project goals.
• Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, producers, and VFX supervisors to align with creative vision.
• Manage project files, asset organization, version tracking, and backups.
• Perform color correction and audio syncing to ensure high production quality.
• Create pre-visualizations, animatics, and temp comps for internal or client review.
• Optimize videos for various delivery platforms including web, broadcast, and mobile.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in video editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Expertise in VFX and compositing tools: Adobe After Effects, Nuke, or similar.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, timing, pacing, and continuity.
• Technical knowledge of formats, codecs, resolutions, and export workflows.
• Experience with green screen removal, tracking, masking, and layering effects.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Arts, Animation, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a video editing or VFX-related role.
• Working knowledge of 3D software (Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud collaboration tools like Frame.io or ShotGrid.
• A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing both editing and visual effects skills.
