What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

On-Page SEO (Basic Assistance)

• Assist in keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, or Ahrefs (if available).
• Support content optimization including:
• Titles & meta descriptions
• Header tags
• URL structure
• Basic internal linking
• Help with improving page speed, mobile-friendliness, and user experience.
• Assist in performing content audits and suggesting improvements.
• Learn and apply basic schema markup under supervision.

Off-Page SEO (Basic Link Building Tasks)

• Assist in ethical link-building activities such as:
• Directory submissions
• Social bookmarking
• Guest posting outreach
• Help maintain backlink tracking sheets.
• Learn how to identify toxic backlinks using Google Search Console.

Technical SEO (Training Provided)

• Support the team in identifying and documenting:
• Broken links
• Crawl & indexing issues
• Learn how to manage:
• XML sitemaps
• robots.txt
• Canonical tags
• Work with developers to implement technical SEO recommendations.

Reporting & Analysis

• Monitor basic keyword rankings and traffic trends.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Work with tools like:
• Google Search Console
• Google Analytics
• Perform simple competitor analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or ongoing) in Marketing, IT, CS, Media Sciences, or relevant field.
• Basic understanding of SEO concepts (keywords, ranking, meta tags, link building).
• Familiarity with any SEO tools—free or paid.
• Willingness to learn On-Page, Off-Page, and Technical SEO.
• Basic understanding of WordPress or HTML is a plus, not required.
• Strong research, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Any experience with:
• Content writing
• Social media marketing
• Google Ads (basic knowledge)
• Any SEO practice done on:
• Personal blog
• Academic project
• Client website
• Training assignment
