Job Description – SEO Specialist
Position Overview
The SEO Specialist will be responsible for improving the company’s online visibility, increasing website traffic, and enhancing search engine rankings through effective search engine optimization strategies. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of SEO tools, and the ability to execute both on-page and off-page optimization activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Page Optimization
Conduct keyword research using tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush,
Ahrefs, etc.
Optimize website content, meta tags, alt tags, headers, and URLs.
Ensure proper internal linking structure and keyword placement.
Improve page load speed, mobile friendliness, and overall user experience.
Work with content writers to create SEO-friendly content.
2. Off-Page Optimization
Plan and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
Manage directory submissions, guest blogging, social bookmarking, and outreach
activities.
Build high-quality backlinks while avoiding spammy practices.
3. Technical SEO
Conduct regular website audits to identify and fix technical issues.
Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup, and canonical tags.
Fix crawl errors, broken links, and indexing issues.
Coordinate with developers to implement technical recommendations.
4. Content Strategy
Provide keyword guidelines and SEO insights to the content team.
Develop SEO-driven content plans for blogs, landing pages, and website updates.
Ensure content meets Google’s E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness,
Trustworthiness) standards.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
Track website performance, keyword rankings, and traffic.
Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software.
Prepare monthly SEO performance reports for management.
Provide insights and actionable recommendations.
6. Competitor Analysis
Monitor competitor websites, backlinks, keywords, and rankings.
Identify opportunities and create strategies to outperform competitors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Communications, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in SEO (on-page, off-page, technical).
Strong knowledge of Google algorithms and SEO best practices.
Hands-on experience with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work with developers, designers, and content teams.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
