As a Service Sales Engineer – Aftersales , you will support our aftersales operations by identifying service opportunities, maintaining key accounts, and driving customer satisfaction through timely solutions and high-quality support.


Role Overview


The Service Sales Engineer is responsible for executing aftersales and service sales activities including AMCs, retrofits and repairs sales . This role focuses on maintaining customer relationships, preparing quotations, coordinating service jobs, and ensuring smooth delivery of aftersales solutions aligned with SKM standards.


Key Responsibilities


🔧 Service & Retrofit Sales

  • Identify and develop sales opportunities for AMCs, retrofit job and service contracts .
  • Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals and quotations in coordination with the Service and Estimation teams.
  • Maintain close communication with customers to understand requirements, propose solutions, and secure repeat business.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue growth objectives in the aftersales segment.
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and distributors to promote SKM’s service capabilities.


🛠 Service Operations Support


  • Coordinate with service teams for job execution, scheduling, and follow-up to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support the resolution of service issues and warranty claims by liaising with technical and operations teams.
  • Ensure service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support.


👥 Customer Relationship Management


  • Conduct client visits and site inspections to assess equipment condition and recommend retrofit or maintenance solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term retention.
  • Attend client meetings and represent SKM’s service division in a professional manner.


📈 Reporting & Improvement


  • Track and report sales activities, forecasts, and customer feedback to management.
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance aftersales efficiency and customer experience.
  • Maintain compliance with QHSE standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) in all activities.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • 2–5 years of HVAC aftersales/service experience, preferably in the Gulf region .
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, package/split units) and service operations.


Skills & Competencies


  • Strong techno-commercial understanding and ability to prepare cost estimates and proposals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Organized, self-driven, and results-oriented.
