Job Title: Shipping Supervisor

Job Purpose:

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the shipping operations within the warehouse or logistics department. This role ensures that all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time, while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily shipping operations, including order picking, packing, labeling, and dispatch.
• Coordinate shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery to customers and distribution centers.
• Manage and lead the shipping team, including training, performance evaluation, and task assignment.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate shipping records, including bills of lading, invoices, and inventory updates.
• Monitor shipping costs and suggest process improvements to optimize efficiency.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers.
• Handle shipping issues, delays, or damages and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams for smooth operations.
• Prepare and report shipping performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and error rates.
