The Site Operations Manager (DSM) is responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives across the delivery station. The DSM manages and leads a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaches and mentors staff to meet performance objectives, builds positive employee relations, and establishes leadership bench strength. Additional duties include managing the operations and functions at the site, ensuring continuous delivery of Amazon orders, and maintaining operational excellence on a 24/7 basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and people development for the delivery station.
  • Drive the vision for the station team and create quality initiatives, process changes, and lean projects to exceed business plan targets.
  • Problem solve gaps between performance and goals.
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Shift Managers; measure performance, provide feedback, and hold leaders accountable.
  • Manage an environment that delivers Amazon orders directly to customers amid rising volume and complexity.
  • Present operational metrics regularly to senior leadership.
  • Hire and develop top talent, implementing a talent plan that covers acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Leverage Operations and Shift Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, rolling them into improvement plans for the functional area.
  • Cultivate strong culture and engagement across all levels of the delivery station team.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.
  • Collaborate with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, and Engineering to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in the area, and provide needed support for staff initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, or transportation logistics.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Experience hiring and training seasonal workforces to support peak events.
