As an industry leading Environmental Remediation & Demolition Contractor since 1985, EnviroVantage, Inc is looking to add to our incredible team. Servicing projects Nationwide, and across the Caribbean, EnviroVantage is recognized as a trusted authority for all Government, Commercial & Industrial projects involving proper Hazardous materials handling and Demolition.
The Site Safety & Health Officer will be responsible for the direct Safety and compliance oversight of all Abatement, Demolition & Site Restoration activities; including any additional subcontractors.
Essential Functions:
- Lead daily safety meetings and conduct routine safety/health inspections and report back weekly to the office
- Conduct refresher training as needed; including but not limited to tools, lifts, confined space, etc.
- Perform safety and occupational health management program, safety surveillance, safety inspections, and safety enforcement
- Coordinate any corrective actions with EnviroVantage Site Superintendent
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction
- Knowledge and experience working with asbestos, excavation, and demolition required.
- Managing safety program or processes conducting hazard analysis and developing controls
- OSHA 30 and HAZWOPER 40 required.
- Previous experience working as a safety representative on a construction site
- Strong working knowledge and experience with OSHA:1926.1101;1926.62 and others
- Strong working knowledge of EM385-1-1
CPR and First Aid certifications
Working Environment/Physical Demands:
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, walking, carrying, and using a force equal to lifting 50 to 100 pounds
- Qualified Candidate must be able to pass a physical examination by medical professional for the anticipated work requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check and be able to obtain access to military bases across the United States
- A valid driver’s license is required, as well as a safe driving record as measured by company policy

Compensation
- Compensation Range: $80,000 - $110,000/year
- Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
