Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Social Media Intern to join our marketing team. This paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills in digital marketing, content creation, and brand management. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for social media platforms, a keen eye for visual storytelling, and a strong interest in digital marketing strategies. As a Social Media Intern, you will support the development and execution of engaging social media campaigns across multiple channels, helping to elevate our brand presence and connect with our target audience effectively.

Duties

  • Assist in creating, curating, and scheduling compelling content for various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Monitor social listening tools to track brand mentions, industry trends, and audience engagement metrics.
  • Support the design of visually appealing graphics and videos using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite to enhance content quality.
  • Manage social media management tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer to streamline posting schedules and analyze campaign performance.
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize content for SEO to improve visibility across digital channels.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a professional manner that fosters positive relationships.
  • Assist in developing social media advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook Advertising to increase reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on branding initiatives and promotional strategies aligned with overall digital marketing goals.
  • Track web analytics using Google Analytics and web analytics tools to measure campaign success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support public relations efforts by drafting press releases, managing influencer collaborations, and maintaining positive relationships with media outlets.
  • Contribute to e-commerce initiatives by creating product-focused content that drives online sales.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaign ideas that align with current industry trends and audience interests.

Skills
Proficiency in social media management platforms such as Hootsuite or Buffer is essential for scheduling and analytics. Strong graphic design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe Creative Suite are required to produce engaging visual content. Experience with video editing tools is highly desirable for creating dynamic multimedia posts. Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research techniques, and web analytics tools like Google Analytics will enhance content effectiveness. Familiarity with social listening tools enables monitoring of brand reputation and industry trends effectively. Understanding of Facebook Advertising campaigns allows for targeted promotion efforts that maximize ROI. Excellent proofreading skills ensure all content is polished, accurate, and aligned with branding standards. Experience in public relations activities such as drafting press releases or managing influencer partnerships is advantageous. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail is crucial in a fast-paced environment. A foundational understanding of digital marketing strategies—including branding, social media marketing, and e-commerce—is preferred for this role.
