Okey Dokeys is a fast-growing crochet brand known for our super soft no-fray chenille yarn, beginner-friendly kits, and fun, creative community. We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist who’s obsessed with content, understands platform-by-platform behavior, and knows how to turn data into smart, effective decisions.

Job Overview
We’re looking for someone who truly understands how different platforms work and can create content that fits each one naturally. This role includes planning and posting daily content, coming up with new ideas, analyzing what performs well, and putting together clear reports so we can keep improving. You’ll work across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and other channels—making sure each post feels right for its audience. This position requires someone who’s comfortable taking initiative, staying organized, and keeping up with fast-moving trends.

Responsibilities

  • Create platform-specific content (Reels, TikToks, short-form videos, static posts, YouTube thumbnails, long-form videos, etc.).
  • Edit high-quality videos for YouTube, including long-form crochet tutorials and educational content.
  • Post consistently across all platforms with content tailored to each audience.
  • Track performance metrics daily/weekly and build detailed reports for the team.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and what’s performing well then recommend new ideas.
  • Brainstorm content concepts tied to brand themes, product launches, and seasonal sales.
  • Write engaging captions, titles, hooks, and optimized descriptions.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all posts.
  • Stay informed on best practices for each platform (timing, formats, trending sounds, SEO, hashtags, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the crochet team on concept planning, filming days, and upcoming launches.
  • Organize and maintain content calendars.

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to crochet and familiarity with crochet terminology.
  • Experience creating or editing long-form YouTube videos.
  • Skilled in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.
  • Photography or design skills for content creation.
  • Experience working with influencers, brand collaborations, or UGC creators.
  • Experience in a content-heavy eCommerce environment.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
  • Ability to independently plan and create content on a consistent schedule.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in-person at our Lehi, Utah office.
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to generate new ideas regularly.
  • Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, Pinterest, YouTube, and Facebook best practices.
