Social Studies Teacher Middle School

Rockdale County Public Schools is currently looking for a middle social studies teacher.

Requirements:

The preferred candidate holds a teaching certificate in Middle Grades Social Studies (4-8) or a Social Science (6-12) issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission and has already passed the GACE.

Consideration given to applicants holding a bachelor's degree in a related area who are enrolled in or willing to enroll in a program leading to a teaching certificate.

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in Social Studies for secondary students.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students through tutoring and academic advising.
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Utilize strong communication and organizational skills to effectively engage with students and parents.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $51,212.00 - $110,163.00 per year
