Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our fast-growing in-house team. You’ll be working Mondays to Fridays, from 11 am to 06 pm at our Bahria Town office space. You will be responsible for the high-volume editing and post-production of short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) for diverse client campaigns. This involves applying trending editing styles, motion graphics, and sound design to raw footage. Your videos must be scroll-stopping with viral visual & audio hooks and strategically optimised to achieve maximum engagement and viral reach. Your mastery of post-production tools and commitment to high-quality output are crucial for translating raw footage into viral, engaging assets that effectively boost our clients' social media presence and engagement metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visual Storytelling: Apply principles of visual narrative and pacing specifically designed for the short attention span of social media users.
  • Visual & Audio Hooks: The ability to craft highly engaging scroll-stopping openings in the first 3-5 seconds to capture attention in feeds.
  • Colour Correction: Perform basic colour grading and correction to ensure visual consistency and high production quality across all videos.
  • Editing & Post-Production: Handle end-to-end video editing, including trimming, sequencing, colour correction, and sound mixing using industry-standard software
  • Graphic & Text Integration: Add dynamic on-screen text, captions, graphics, and visual effects to boost engagement and viewer retention.
  • Motion Graphics: Creating and integrating simple yet impactful motion graphics, animated text overlays, and dynamic lower thirds.
  • VFX: Execute required visual effects and overlays, including green screen removal, simple object tracking, and creative transitions, to add production value.
  • Audio Design: Select, integrate, and mix audio, including trending sounds and licensed music, to enhance video appeal and align with trends.
  • Subtitle/Captioning: Accurately create and sync subtitles/captions for accessibility and to ensure content is consumable without sound.
  • Platform Optimisation: Format and optimise video assets according to the specific technical requirements, aspect ratios (e.g., 9:16), and length constraints of each platform.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on emerging social video tools, techniques, and trends to keep the agency’s offerings competitive and forward-thinking.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Liaison between content, design, media, marketing, advertising and development teams to develop effective digital designs.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

1. Education:

Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) in Film, Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field is preferred. Proven industry experience and an exceptional portfolio may substitute for formal education.

2. Experience:

  • Video Production: 2+ years of experience. Proven track record of creating high-performing, short-form video content specifically for major social platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) within an agency or fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Portfolio: A strong, curated portfolio showcasing a diverse range of video styles, demonstrable trend adoption, and effective storytelling for different brands.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.


Required Skills:

  • Expert Video Editing Software Proficiency: Mastery of a professional editing suite (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and/or high-volume mobile editing tools (e.g., CapCut).
  • Visual Aesthetics & Design Composition: Understanding principles of shot composition, lighting, colour theory, and visual flow. Proficiency in colour correction and grading.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent spoken & written English. Excellent spoken & written Urdu.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems creatively, especially in high-pressure situations. Managerial experience is a plus.
  • Task Prioritisation: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.


Preferred Skills:

  • Basic Photography Skills: Competency in capturing high-quality still images to complement video content or use as thumbnails.
  • Lighting & Sound Equipment Experience: Practical experience using dedicated external microphones, reflectors, and professional lighting kits (beyond mobile accessories).
  • Internet Culture: A natural understanding of current memes, challenges, and popular internet humour to create relevant and shareable content that feels organic, not forced.
  • Creative Writing: Ability to craft engaging, persuasive, and on-brand copy for digital content, including blog posts, email campaigns, ad copy, and social media content, to captivate audiences and drive conversions.
