The Software Engineer PHP will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining web-based applications that support the universitys digital initiatives. This role requires a developer with the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues and deliver well-structured, maintainable code using version control tools such as Git. Candidates should exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities, thrive in independent work environments, and collaborate effectively within team settings. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the individual will play a vital role in contributing technical expertise and enhancing the universitys software development efforts.

Requirements

• 4 to 5 years of experience as a PHP Developer.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of PHP MVC frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter).
• Experience with MySQL/MsSQL databases and writing optimized queries.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, AJAX, and Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of Git and code versioning tools.
• Experience in integrating multiple data sources into a single application.
• Understanding of web security best practices and accessibility compliance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-based applications using PHP MVC frameworks like Laravel and CodeIgniter.
