Software Engineering Team Lead - Node.js & Typescript

We've been supporting a heavily-backed IoT start-up with their growth throughout this year, and having brought in some top level, we're now looking for a Software Engineering Team Lead to continue to raise the bar.

These guys focus on IoT, logistics, & Energy - building AI-powered solutions to their customers.

You'll work on a very data-intensive platform, dealing with real-time ingestion, ensuring scalability to serve customers globally.

The environment is fast-paced - you should have proven experience in a product focused start-up / scale-up, where data is a fundamental part of the product.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers (circa 5 people)
• Driving technical direction and architectural decisions for your domain
• Staying hands-on across code reviews and critical development work
• Fostering strong collaboration with Product and other Engineering teams
• Ensuring reliability, scalability, and engineering best practices

What they're looking for:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• 1-2+ years in a team lead or tech lead role, or senior IC with leadership experience
• Strong background in TypeScript/Node.js or similar modern stack
• Solid experience across cloud (AWS or GCP), microservices, and modern CI/CD practices
• Someone who thrives in fast-paced, product-led environments
