Overview

As a Solutions Architect & Evangelist within the Media Distribution Group, you will work closely with customers promoting and designing enterprise grade Playout, Media Asset Management (MAM) and Distribution solutions. The successful candidate must capture client vision and requirements and enable those utilizing Evertz hardware, software and professional services offerings. You will act as a focal point for Evertz clients and Evertz staff to architect, design and document system requirements and implementation approaches for end-to-end enterprise solutions. The role is client facing.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the account management team identifying and engaging with prospective Playout, MAM and Media Distribution customers.
  • Identify new customers while growing and maintaining systems within the existing customer base.
  • Define and document system scope with the account manager; provide initial solutions with Evertz equipment selection & systems design; refine to provide final quotation and supporting documentation.
  • Provide client demonstrations and/or documentation as proof-of-concept system, as required.
  • Collaborate with internal, client and third-party teams to understand current and future business and technical requirements.
  • Lead proposal creation and refinement; own and produce accurate bid documentation.
  • Identify and manage project risks, state assumptions clearly, and mitigate risks in advance of deployment.
  • Create a clear design package, gap analysis, functional specifications, and budget; act as technical authority throughout design, pre-commissioning, onsite commissioning, training and sustaining engineering phases.
  • Travel as required to client sites.
Qualifications
  • Experience in designing, documenting and sustaining full life cycle end-to-end enterprise-wide client-facing projects.
  • Experience with file-based broadcast, production, post-production, non-linear distribution, automated transcoding and quality control; business/traffic systems and workflows (e.g., the complete broadcast and media food chain).
  • Electronics engineering (or similar) education.
  • Problem-solving and strong communication skills; results oriented, self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Familiar with BXF and industry-standard traffic solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years experience deploying file-based workflow solutions.
  • Experience with Broadcast IT networking infrastructure.
  • Understanding of application integration with business systems via XML as the interchange format.
  • Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
