Reports to: Officer, Administration & Planning, Women Economic Empowerment Program


Purpose: The job holder will act as the liaison between the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) program and subcontractors, partners, and employers to ensure that our participants are provided with opportunities that enable them to access the labor market.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of hybrid comprehensive employability training and the provision of individual career coaching sessions in coordination with different stakeholders in seven different governorates
  • Oversee the implementation of the trainer of trainers (ToT) workshop on the employability skills training program
  • Ensure providing the WEE training for employment (TFE) alumni with job placement opportunities, by creating a database of potential employers by capitalizing on The American University in Cairo’s (AUC) available resources i.e., the Career Center
  • Assist in designing and developing the job placement track application form
  • Conduct virtual interviews with potential candidates to ensure that they meet the selection criteria
  • Follow up with participants who completed their training program on their employment status
  • Promote the project through AUC’s different social media and publicity channels i.e. social media campaigns
  • Attend offline events to promote the project (project flyers, roll-ups, etc.)
  • Design and develop the training application form
  • Conduct the filtration process of potential candidates
  • Attend some of the selection interviews held by different employers
  • Provide constant feedback to our potential partners on the quality of referrals received from them.
  • Follow up with participants who completed their training program on their employment status
  • Engage with employers to provide opportunities for target women to access the labor market and internship opportunities
  • Monitor participants’ engagement in employment activities in alignment with the project’s outcomes
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with a network of employers and seek constant partnerships with employers, and by establishing an effective referral mechanism
  • Maintain employers’ database
  • Support the target women in career advising including CV writing, employment platforms, and or other job services that might increase their employability
  • Ensure the recruitment of target women in alignment with the project’s milestones
  • Provide reports on the progress of activities and recommendations for enhancing women’s access to employment
  • Maintain a track of employment activities and women who have secured internships/job opportunities
  • Advise target women on job services and act as a focal point between employers and target women
  • Support in the facilitation of the online capacity-building training as scheduled
  • Assist in logistics of roundtable final event
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field


Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience in career support


Skills:

  • Excellent English and Arabic language skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills, collaboration, flexibility, and organization
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and possess a friendly attitude
  • Good handling of ad-hoc multiple tasks with high-quality performance
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with online-based platforms such as Zoom or others is required


Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel to the seven governorates (Giza, Cairo, Alexandria, Fayoum, Beheira, Beni Suef, and Minya).
