As a Sr Export Compliance Officer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our company operates within the boundaries of export laws and regulations while maintaining a strong culture of compliance.

You will work out of one of our Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Clearwater, FL; or Torrence, CA locations on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the company's adherence to import and export controls, customs compliance, and international trade transactions, minimizing risk and cost to the corporation while maintaining alignment with import and export standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, edit, communicate training
  • Tracking training metrics and training completions through online systems
  • Develop and share communications sent by the function
  • Support audits, transaction testing, metrics gathering
  • Provide guidance on export regulations
  • Communicate clearly with business and functional personnel on export-related matters

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of one year export compliance experience
  • 1 year of experience working for a multinational company or a U.S. defense contractor
  • U.S. Person status as defined by the ITAR
  • Knowledge of export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC regulations.

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • One (1) year of export compliance experience
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience in drafting presentations, procedures, forms, reports, contracts, agreements, or licenses
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present to small and large groups with participants from various levels
  • Proactive, well-organized, highly motivated
  • Ability to work independently once tasks are assigned
  • Aptitude for compliance
  • Experience with audits
  • Experience working in a compliance-related role, especially one involving export compliance, is a plus
  • Detailed knowledge of the export regulations (ITAR and EAR), is plus
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience with developing or using digital tools
