We are seeking a meticulous and experienced HR Manager to oversee all human resources functions for our established jewelry showroom in Kannur. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with deep, practical expertise in Indian labor law compliance, specifically the end-to-end management of Provident Fund (PF) and Employees' State Insurance (ESI). You will be the backbone of our employee lifecycle, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Compliance (The Core Requirement):

Provident Fund (PF):

Manage end-to-end PF processes: new member registration, monthly contribution calculation, and filing of ECR (Electronic Challan Cum Return).

Handle PF withdrawals, transfers, and advances for employees.

Ensure timely deposits and reconcile PF accounts.

Liaise with the PF department for any queries or audits.

Employees' State Insurance (ESI):

Manage ESI registration for new employees and generate insurance numbers.

Accurately calculate monthly ESI contributions for both employer and employee.

File monthly ESI returns and ensure timely payment.

Facilitate ESI benefits for employees (medical, sickness, maternity, etc.) and guide them through the process.

Other Compliances: Knowledge of other labour laws like Bonus Act, Gratuity, and Shop & Establishment Act is a strong advantage.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for showroom staff (sales executives, cashiers, cleaners, security) and back-office staff.

Source candidates through local channels, references, and job portals.

Conduct interviews, coordinate with management, and make hiring decisions.

Execute a smooth onboarding process, including documentation and orientation.

Payroll & Attendance Management:

Oversee the complete payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in salary calculation, eductions (PF, ESI, TDS), and disbursement.

Maintain and manage daily attendance, leaves, and overtime records.

HR Operations & Employee Relations:

Maintain and update all employee records, both physical and digital, with confidentiality.

Handle employee queries and grievances effectively.

Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Organize basic training sessions for staff on product knowledge, customer service, and Compliance.

Local Liaison:

Act as the point of contact for local labour authorities, PF, and ESI offices in the Kannur/Thalassery region.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves):

Experience: 3-4 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR executive, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or a similar industry with a strong compliance focus.

PF & ESI Expertise: This is critical. Must be able to demonstrate hands-on, practical experience in managing PF and ESI portals, filing returns, and handling related processes without supervision.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's in HR (MSW/MBA) or a diploma in HR/Labour Laws is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in MS Excel (for payroll and data management).

In-depth experience with the PF and ESI online portals.

Familiarity with payroll software is a plus.

Language: Excellent communication skills in Malayalam and English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
