Job Description


We are seeking a hands-on Data & Analytics expert to design and implement enterprise-level data solutions that power advanced analytics and reporting. This role is pivotal in building scalable data foundations and driving global standardization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Architecture & Modeling: Build robust data models and reporting structures using DBT and Microsoft Fabric to enable unified analytics across the organization.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong proficiency in Python (data pipelines, ingestion, predictive modeling) and SQL (query optimization, data modeling).
    • Experience with Power BI and Tableau for dashboard development and visualization.
  • Platform Leadership: Set up and optimize Microsoft Fabric as a unified analytics platform for enterprise use.
  • Advanced Analytics: Apply predictive and prescriptive analytics to inform business strategy.
  • Team Advocacy: Serve as central point of contact for resolution of issues for the Growth Analytics, Claims Management, and North America FP&A functions
  • AI Enablement: Serve as SME for leveraging SquareTrade data to drive agentic AI to realize efficiency and operational excellence in Growth Analytics, Claims Management, and North America FP&A
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and global teams to align data initiatives with business priorities.
  • Establish clear data ownership and governance across the org in partnership with technology

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in DBT and Microsoft Fabric implementation.
  • Strong analytical engineering and data architecture background.
  • Skilled in Python, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Strategic thinker with business analysis skills and ability to deliver actionable insights.
  • Experienced in managing distributed teams and driving global initiatives.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about building scalable solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated success in building enterprise reporting structures and data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Platform, ideally DBT and Microsoft Fabric
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

(San Francisco Bay Area Only) Pursuant to applicable law, SquareTrade estimates the possible base compensation for this role, if hired in the SF Bay Area, to be within the following range: $180K-$220K
