Job title: SR MEP Engineer - Swimming Pool

Work Location: Abu Dhabi/Dubai

Reports to: Branch Manager/Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

To act as the specialized technical expert responsible for the design validation, quality control, installation oversight, and successful commissioning of all MEP systems within complex, high-value aquatic and landscape projects.

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Execution

- Assist the Project Manager in planning and executing project activities for both MEP and civil scopes.

- Supervise day-to-day site works to ensure alignment with approved drawings, schedules, and technical specifications.

- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely progress.

- Monitor manpower and material requirements and report shortfalls or delays promptly.

Technical & Engineering Responsibilities

- Review project drawings, specifications, and design details to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

- Ensure accurate installation of MEP systems including pool pumps, filtration systems, electrical panels, lighting, and plumbing works.

- Support civil works execution such as excavation, concrete works, waterproofing, tiling, and finishes related to swimming pools and landscape structures.

- Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare technical submittals, and assist in material selection and procurement.

Quality Assurance & Control

- Implement and monitor quality control procedures in line with company and project standards.

- Conduct regular inspections to verify that work is performed according to design, specifications, and safety requirements.

- Coordinate with consultants for inspections, approvals, and testing requirements.

- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection requests (IRs), and method statements.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure that all MEP and civil works comply with the company's HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.

- Monitor site activities to prevent unsafe practices and ensure the use of proper PPE.

- Report any safety incidents, near misses, or non-compliance to the Site Engineer or Safety Officer.

Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and client review.

- Maintain updated as-built drawings and documentation for MEP and civil works.

- Track project variations, additional works, and change requests in coordination with the Project Manager.

Coordination with Stakeholders

- Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure technical issues are resolved quickly.

- Coordinate with procurement, design, and logistics teams for material and equipment delivery.

- Attend site meetings and provide technical input where necessary.

General Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) or related field.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP project engineering

- Strong knowledge of both MEP and civil construction works, including pool systems, waterproofing, concrete structures, and plumbing/electrical installations.

- Proficient in MEP design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar) and MS Project.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, technical specifications, and construction schedules.

- Sound knowledge of UAE regulations, DEWA/DCD standards, and international MEP codes.

- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
