Role and Responsibilities


1. Claims File Review & Analysis


  • Conduct detailed analysis of insurance claims files received in spreadsheet format.
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect entries; provide corrective recommendations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Evaluate claim patterns, anomalies, and outliers for escalation or further investigation.

2. Advanced Excel-Based Data Processing


  • Use advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, nested IFs, conditional logic, conditional formatting, etc.) to structure, cleanse, and transform claimant data.
  • Apply logical and financial formulas to calculate claim amounts, incorporating deductibles, policy limits, and benefit structures.
  • Automate recurring tasks and develop templates to enhance operational efficiency.

3. Pivot Table Reporting & Insights


  • Build dynamic pivot tables and dashboards to summarize claims by claimant, type, category, and maximum claim amount.
  • Identify high-value claims, top claimants, and trends requiring managerial review.
  • Present analytical findings to leadership with clear, data-driven insights.

4. Data Validation, Accuracy & Compliance


  • Cross-verify computed amounts against policy terms, deductible tiers, and Benecon-specific guidelines.
  • Ensure all outputs adhere to audit standards, compliance requirements, and established operating procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and mentor junior associates to uphold accuracy in deliverables.

5. Documentation, Collaboration & Communication


  • Prepare comprehensive, audit-ready reports with claimant-level and category-level breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify data discrepancies and finalize claims summaries.
  • Communicate complex analytical outcomes in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support knowledge transfer, documentation updates, and process improvement initiatives.


Required Qualifications


Technical Skills


  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation, troubleshooting).
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations, claims workflows, and related terminology.
  • Familiarity with Benecon processes (preferred).

Analytical Skills


  • Exceptional numerical reasoning, pattern recognition, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and convert them into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to identify process gaps and propose data-driven improvements.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Professional, collaborative demeanour with the ability to work across teams and time zones.

  • Flexibility to support US working hours, including night shifts.
  • Willingness to follow the US holiday calendar.
