TASKS -
The consultant will work collaboratively with the main Project Manager and eTools technical leadership team. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Project Coordination and Tracking -
- Support the main Project Manager in monitoring progress across eTools submodules and workstreams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project tracking tools (plans, timelines, dashboards).
- Follow up with developers, QA, and stakeholders on assigned tasks and milestones.
- Help manage dependencies, identify delays, and propose corrective actions.
- Track and document ongoing support requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication with end users.
Project Planning and Documentation
- Assist in writing and maintaining user stories, cards, and tickets in project tracking systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Projects).
- Document requirements, specifications, and change requests in collaboration with stakeholders and the technical team.
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritization sessions.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and project updates for internal and external audiences.
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as an additional point of contact for selected stakeholders, ensuring consistent and clear communication.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and relay progress updates.
- Ensure decisions, risks, and action points are logged and followed up.
- Support the main PM in maintaining alignment across business owners, ICTD, and technical teams.
Coordination with Technical Teams
- Liaise with developers, QA, and DevOps engineers to track technical progress and blockers.
- Translate stakeholder needs into actionable technical tasks in collaboration with the technical leads.
- Monitor delivery of minor features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Facilitate coordination between business and technical priorities to maintain delivery momentum.
- Assist in support troubleshooting by helping triage and document issues, reproducing reported problems, and coordinating technical follow-up with developers or support specialists.
Continuous Improvement
- Support post-release reviews and documentation of lessons learned.
- Contribute to improving project workflows, templates, and processes.
- Maintain a collaborative and transparent working relationship with the entire eTools team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Must-Have Requirements -
- At least 7 years of experience in project management or coordination for IT or software development projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or GitHub Projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing tasks with minimal supervision while ensuring alignment with the main PM.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Familiarity with software development concepts, including CI/CD, release management, or cloud-based platforms.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional remote teams.
- Background in digital transformation or data-driven programme management.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Additional UN languages will be considered an asset.
