Job Description: Staff Accountant & HR Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant & HR Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial records, preparing reports, recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with financial audits.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs and respond to inquiries regarding benefits.
- Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
- Facilitate employee engagement activities and programs.
- Address employee concerns and disputes, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist with training and development programs for employees.
- Prepare HR-related reports and metrics for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software Sage Preferred).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- CPA certification or working towards certification.
- Experience with tax preparation and compliance.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and human resources functions.
- Familiarity with employee training and development strategies.

Pay: $56,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
