A hospital store manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hospital's inventory, including medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.

Key duties include managing stock levels, coordinating with vendors for procurement, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, leading and training store personnel, and maintaining accurate records.

They are also responsible for managing storage, efficient distribution to hospital departments, and implementing safety protocols for all inventory

  • Inventory and supply chain management:
  • Oversee daily operations of the hospital store, including receiving, stocking, and organising supplies.
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals, minimizing stockouts.
  • Coordinate with and maintain relationships with vendors to procure quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Track and control expenses related to inventory and procurement activities.

Ensure the security of inventory against damage or theft.

  • Record keeping and reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, invoices, and related documentation.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and prepare reports on inventory levels, sales, and expenses.
  • Distribution:
  • Coordinate the efficient distribution of supplies to various hospital departments as per their needs.
