ob Purpose:
Responsible for managing the company’s store operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, proper material handling, and timely issuance of items for projects in the carpet, wood, or interior fit-out sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory systems daily.
- Organize materials in a safe, accessible, and logical manner inside the store.
- Coordinate with project teams, supervisors, and site foremen for material issuance.
- Ensure materials are issued only against approved requests or job orders.
- Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts; report variances immediately.
- Track material consumption for each project and maintain proper documentation.
- Monitor the condition of stored goods and ensure proper storage (humidity, stacking, protection).
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company guidelines.
- Prepare material requirement reports when stocks are low.
- Coordinate with procurement for replenishment and deliveries.
- Handle returns, damaged items, and replacements as per company policy.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 2–5 years of experience as a Storekeeper in the UAE.
- Experience in carpet, wood, flooring, joinery, or interior fit-out industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of material types: carpets, underlays, adhesives, trims, wooden sheets, tools, etc.
- Ability to read material codes, measurements, and project requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / inventory software.
- Good communication skills and coordination abilities.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks when required.
