Key Responsibilities
- Process Design and Optimization: Conduct process calculations to develop treatment schemes (e.g., using MBBR, SBR, MBR technologies) and optimize existing operations. This includes hydraulic modeling and system optimization. Assist in STP and ETP infrastructure design. Collaborate on engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct site visits and gather project data. Contribute to design reviews and process optimization.
- Drawing and Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering documents, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement (GA) drawings, and technical reports. Support project documentation preparation.
- Equipment Specification: Select and specify key mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment such as pumps, aerators, clarifiers, valves, and SCADA systems.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed treatment systems and plant upgrades.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs and processes comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and industry standards (e.g., CPCB, BIS standards).
- Coordination and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, as well as site execution teams and vendors, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical support during the construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up phases of the plant.
- The candidate will be responsible for techno-commercial proposals, designing, costing, estimation, BOQ preparation, and client coordination for ongoing and upcoming projects.
This role requires strong understanding of MEP, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fabrication, and civil basics related to water treatment plants.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Relevant experience in the design of water/wastewater treatment plants is required, with senior roles often demanding 5-10+ years of experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD 2D & 3D, SolidWorks, Revit) and engineering modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, water chemistry, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to perform complex design calculations, including flow rate and piping system analyses.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
