Purpose of the job
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Analysis
  • Partner with the CEO to develop, track, and execute strategic priorities, ensuring clear communication and accountability across leadership.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support corporate strategy, business development opportunities, and long-range planning.
  • Prepare executive summaries, financial models, and scenario analyses to support decision-making at the CEO and Board levels.
  • Support preparation for investor meetings, Board presentations, and strategic reviews.
Operational Execution
  • Coordinate and facilitate executive meetings, off-sites, and leadership team agendas; ensure effective follow-through on action items.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, R&D, Quality, MFG, Clinical, and Non-Clinical teams to align goals and timelines.
  • Support execution of high-priority programs, special projects, and partnership initiatives.
Executive Support & Operations
  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, travel, correspondence, and meeting logistics with precision and confidentiality.
  • Prioritize and manage an evolving list of tasks, projects, and follow-ups on behalf of the CEO.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, communications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as the point of contact and liaison between the CEO and internal/external partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information and communications.
Communication & Leadership Alignment
  • Serve as an extension of the CEO to ensure consistent messaging, internal communication, and organizational alignment.
  • Draft and review key communications, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to foster collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
Education and/or Job Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) in business, life sciences, or engineering preferred.
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or corporate development, preferably within biotech, pharma, or medical device industries.
Skills and Specifications
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen; comfortable building models and interpreting complex data sets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize and present information at the executive and Board levels.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to build trust, influence without authority, and maintain confidentiality.
