Job description: Structural Engineer

Workplace: Al-Jouf



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supervise daily structural steel and architectural works as per project requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor all structural steelwork–related administrative and site activities.
  • Review contractor schedules, method statements, and risk assessments for pre-construction planning.
  • Ensure contractor’s work is detailed, compliant, and safely executed.
  • Manage contract correspondence and submittals related to structural steel.
  • Assign and supervise welding and steel personnel daily.
  • Maintain full oversight of structural steel construction to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Support the project team in contractor issues, including claims.
  • Monitor and report on contractor progress, manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Attend progress and technical meetings; identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Review daily reports and oversee day-to-day site activities.
  • Coordinate work sequences and schedules with contractor supervisors.
  • Maintain organized filing of inspection reports and related correspondence.
  • Schedule site staff to prevent delays and report non-compliance using QA procedures.
  • Work with the Safety Engineer to monitor safety arrangements and address concerns.
  • Review material submittals, drawings, method statements, and as-built documents promptly.
  • Oversee tracking and filing of all quality records per the Quality Management System.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Must have a relevant Engineering degree
  • Min 5 Years of relevant experience on structural steel construction projects
  • Previous experience working on construction projects in the Middle East
  • Portfolio of built work which demonstrates technical capabilities and showing excellent site management skills.
