- Design steel structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes (e.g., AISC, Eurocode) and project specifications to guarantee structural integrity and safety.
- Perform detailed structural analysis using software like SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent, to accurately predict structural behavior under various loading conditions.
- Prepare comprehensive steel connection designs, considering weld sizes, bolt configurations, and connection details, optimizing for both strength and constructability.
- Develop clear and concise structural drawings and specifications, communicating design intent to contractors and other stakeholders for seamless project execution.
- Review and approve shop drawings, ensuring they accurately reflect the design intent and comply with relevant standards, minimizing on-site issues.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address design-related queries, and ensure adherence to the approved drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate steel structures into the overall project design, fostering effective teamwork.
