In this role, the Subject Specialist will manage a team of ten professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring efficient execution of academic initiatives focused on commerce education. The specialist will coordinate with faculty members to develop comprehensive teaching plans, enhance content clarity, and ensure timely syllabus coverage. Responsibilities include maintaining question banks, reviewing assessment materials to meet learning outcomes, and supporting academic scheduling and syllabus implementation. The role further involves collecting and analyzing academic data to monitor student progress and promote instructional improvements. Active participation in faculty training, academic visits, and the promotion of digital tools in teaching is essential to uphold the university's academic standards and continuously advance the quality of commerce education offered.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update course outlines and syllabi in compliance with HEC and BISE guidelines and directives from the Subject Head.
  • Coordinate academic scheduling and assist in the compilation and implementation of the commerce curriculum.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to develop teaching plans that ensure clarity of content and timely completion of the syllabus.
  • Develop, manage, and regularly update comprehensive question banks to standardize quizzes, assignments, and examination material.
  • Evaluate assessment content to ensure alignment with designated learning outcomes and BISE examination patterns.
  • Collect and analyze academic data to track student progress, support grading quality checks, and identify areas for instructional improvement.
  • Participate in and contribute to faculty development sessions to enhance teaching methodologies and academic delivery.
  • Conduct academic campus visits and classroom observations to provide constructive feedback for continuous pedagogical improvements.
  • Promote and facilitate the use of basic and advanced digital teaching tools and technologies to improve instructional effectiveness.
  • Organize faculty meet-ups and assist the Subject Head in executing targeted academic projects and initiatives.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of ten academic professionals, ensuring collaborative teamwork and efficient completion of academic objectives.
  • Utilize business intelligence software and statistical tools such as Stata, R, or EViews to support market research, economic modeling, and academic analysis.
  • Apply educational assessment and evaluation strategies to improve student learning outcomes.
  • Incorporate advanced statistical methods and time series modeling to enrich commerce education and research activities.
