Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse classroom settings, supporting student learning across various grade levels and subjects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong classroom management skills, and experience working with children. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring continuity of instruction when regular teachers are unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher or develop your own based on curriculum guidelines.
• Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
• Implement lesson plans across various subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with autism or special education needs.
• Maintain student engagement and discipline while ensuring safety and well-being.
• Collaborate with school staff to support classroom activities and student progress.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and activities to promote effective learning experiences.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom issues.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with early childhood education, Montessori methods, or preschool experience is advantageous.
• Experience working with students with special needs, including autism or literacy and math education.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and parents.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and grade levels.
• Childcare or childhood development background is a plus.
• Certification or credentialing in education or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
