About the Role
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products meet strict quality requirements throughout all stages of production. This role requires strong technical expertise in metrology and optical testing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for product acceptance and rejection during shift hours, including accurate reporting of all findings.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product acceptance.
- Conduct inspection review and transport all finished products to the final inspection area.
- Maintain all records associated with production and quality documentation.
- Utilize standard and advanced metrology tools, including profilometers, non-contact OGP systems, interferometers, CMMs, and other precision equipment.
- Interpret and analyze optical and traditional blueprints.
- Execute optical testing; prior experience is required.
- Follow detailed instructions and established procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Prioritize assignments and work independently to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Collaborate as a key team member across departments.
- Serve as a customer interface to address and resolve quality issues.
- Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure quality is built into products and processes.
- Maintain quality records and comply with the 603OPTX Quality Standards and Quality Policy.
- Perform First Article and/or Source Inspections.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in a similar supplier quality, optical, or precision manufacturing role.
- Strong familiarity with FDA regulations, GMPs, SPIs, SOPs, ISO standards, and internal quality systems.
- Hands-on experience with advanced metrology and inspection tools.
- Excellent decision-making, organization, and communication skills.
Education
- A.S. or B.S. in Optics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated compliance with FDA, GMP, SPIs, SOPs, ISO, and internal quality requirements.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
