Position: Data Analyst - Global Supply Chain


Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience)


Contract: 3-month contract, full-time (high potential for extension or hire)


Site: Carlsbad, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)



Description:

The Data Analyst – Global Supply Chain will play a key role in supporting the Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams through data-driven insights and process improvements. This role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and automation to support forecasting, planning, and performance tracking initiatives across global operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI and Excel .
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize SQL , Power Query , and Power Automate to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, planning, and procurement to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Support supply and demand forecasting through data modeling and performance metrics tracking.
  • Assist with master data management, ensuring alignment between systems such as Oracle R12 , Cognos , and other ERP tools.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize operations, reduce waste, and improve delivery efficiency.


Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid schedule; three days onsite in Carlsbad, two days remote).


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or supply chain analytics , preferably in a manufacturing or life sciences environment.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Excel, SQL , and Power Automate .
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle R12 or Cognos preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in forecasting, planning, or logistics analytics .
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
