Supply Chain Intern – Design Ready Controls

Kickstart your supply chain career in a real manufacturing environment where your work actually moves product. As a Supply Chain Intern at Design Ready Controls, you’ll help make sure the right materials show up at the right time to keep production running smoothly.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and manage purchase orders for production materials.
• Analyze inventory, safety stock, and reorder points to support material availability.
• Update PO confirmations and due dates to flag late deliveries and support supplier performance reviews.
• Review excess material reports and defer incoming purchases when needed.
• Communicate known material shortages to production and warehouse teams using scheduling and tracking reports.
• Support relationships with distributors and manufacturers to ensure accurate pricing, quality, and service.
• Help promote customer focus and reliable delivery across the organization.
• Complete 1–2 capstone projects that create a lasting impact on the team and business.

What We’re Looking For:

• Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college or university (supply chain, operations, business, or related field preferred).
• Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with numbers, percentages, and basic algebra/geometry.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions and solve problems in structured situations.
• Interest in how materials, production, quality, and cost work together in manufacturing.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Familiarity with Windows-based ERP/MRP systems (M1 a plus, not required).
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
