Job Title: Supply Chain & Logistics Assistant – Marine Boat Manufacturing

Onsite Position

Location: Lebanon MO

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Supply Chain & Logistics Assistant to manage outbound transportation scheduling for finished boats while supporting key material control functions. This role is responsible for ensuring dealer deliveries are well-coordinated, timely, cost-effective, and accurately documented, as well as supporting inventory accuracy through cycle counting and management of obsolete or slow-moving stock.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Logistics & Dealer Scheduling

  • Schedule and coordinate transportation of completed boats to dealers, ensuring alignment with production completion dates and dealer availability.
  • Communicate with carriers, dealers, and internal teams to confirm shipment details, routing requirements, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare all shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, labels, and compliance forms.
  • Track and monitor outbound shipments, resolving routing issues, delays, or delivery concerns proactively.
  • Maintain accurate shipment data in the scheduling system including freight cost, carrier assignments, loading schedules, and delivery confirmations.
  • Develop and optimize trailer and load plans to reduce freight cost, improve turns, and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Communicate weekly shipment schedules to internal teams including sales and production to maintain organizational alignment.
  • Support evaluation of carrier performance and cost control initiatives.


Inventory & Material Controls/Supply Chain

  • Assist in planning and executing routine cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and reconcile cycle count variances, working with warehouse and production to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Maintain reporting on inventory accuracy trends, shrink results, and improvements.
  • Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory, maintaining records and reports for management review.
  • Coordinate disposition of obsolete materials including scrapping, rework evaluation, vendor returns, or internal redeployment.
  • Support continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, warehouse cleanliness, labeling accuracy, and stock visibility.
  • Help Maintain all Compliance Documentation


Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, shipping coordination, dispatching, warehouse, or inventory management preferred.
  • Manufacturing or marine industry experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with MRP, or inventory systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
