Job Summary

The System Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining the stability, integrity, and operational efficiency of the organization’s systems, network and application infrastructure. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, proactive system monitoring, configuration management, and providing Tier 2/3 technical support to end-users and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments (physical and virtualized, e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies within Active Directory (AD) and/or equivalent directory services.
  • Assist in the configuration and management of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues related to core business applications.
  • Document all technical processes, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles for internal IT staff and end-users.
  • Participate in the planning, testing, and implementation of new technology projects and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software solutions to improve efficiency and system resilience.
  • Manage cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) if applicable, focusing on access control and resource provisioning.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
  • Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CCNA, VCP, ITIL).
  • 1-3 years of experience in system administration or network administration, or technical support roles.
