  • Research market trends, competitive assortments, and consumer preferences to guide design direction.
  • Create detailed technical specifications, including materials, dimensions, finishes, glazes, and construction details.
  • Collaborate with product development, sourcing, and production to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and quality execution.
  • Partner with global manufacturing vendors to refine shapes, molds, glazes, textures, and finishes.
  • Select and coordinate materials, colors, and silhouettes to build cohesive, visually compelling collections.
  • Oversee the design process from concept through final prototype approval, ensuring alignment with brand standards and retailer expectations.
  • Present concepts and collections to internal teams and retail partners clearly and compellingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Home Products Design, Ceramic Design, Product Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in tabletop, product, or surface design preferably within home décor or consumer goods.
  • Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (ceramics, stoneware, glass, metal, and resin).
  • Experience interpreting trend direction into functional and commercially viable products.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong sense of form, proportion, color, and surface finish.
